Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief spokesperson Sravan Dasoju challenged IT Minister K. T. Rama Rao to ask Osmania University students why KCR Government deserved to be voted out in the next elections.

Mr. Sravan was reacting to KTR’s statement where he had apparently asked why the opposition parties wanted to dethrone the KCR Government. At a press conference here, Mr. Sravan said nearly 45 lakh youngsters of Telangana, who dreamt of getting a job in Telangana state, would give a perfect answer to KTR’s question.

“Similarly, the families of over 4,500 farmers who committed suicide will tell KTR why TRS Government should not get re-elected. Everyone, including intellectuals, poor people who expected double bed room houses or Muslims and STs who trusted KCR’s promise on 12% reservation, can provide a right answer to KTR,” he said.

Mr. Sravan ridiculed Mr. K. T. Rama Rao for accusing the Congress of creating obstacles in the construction of irrigation projects. “We are ready for an open debate on this,” he said. He reminded that if Congress was against irrigation projects then mega projects like Nizam Sagar, Sriram Sagar, Alampally Project, and Pranahita Chevella project would never had become a reality.

On the proposed alliance with TDP and criticism of TRS on it, Mr. Sravan said Mr. K. T. Rama Rao praised the TDP chief when it favoured him and now he was attacking the same person for political reasons. “It seems KCR likes Andhra contractor but hate people of Andhra and their leaders,” he alleged.
