Cunnan Cricket Academy came up trumps in the Puratham Premier League as it defeated Dolphin Cricket Academy by three wickets in the final. Cunnan managed to restrict Dolphin to 108 for eight in its 20 overs, with G Mohan being the pick of the bowlers.

CPS wins U-17 tourney
Opener Paramsingh scored a stroke-filled 81 as Chennai Public School (CPS) (Thirumaizhisai) defeated Velammal Vidyashram (Ayyanambakkam) by two wickets to win the Father Mathews Under-17 cricket tournament. The final was played at the Reddy Santhoshpuram Ground here on Thursday.
Roshan’s 74 propelled Velammal Vidyashram to 164 for nine in its 30 overs. S Hritish and Senthamil stared with the ball for the winner, picking up three wickets each. Chennai Public School got to the target with 14 balls to spare courtesy Paramsingh’s batting.
