Did the BJP try to lure Congress MLA from H.D. Kote Anil Chikkamadu as part of its alleged efforts to destabilise the coalition government in the State?
According to sources close to Mr. Chikkamadu, unidentified persons claiming to represent the BJP contacted the MLA over phone and tried to win over his support in favour of the party.
Mr. Chikkamadu has, however, reiterated that he will not quit the Congress at any cost. He told The Hindu that he would reveal all the details of the episode before the media in Mysuru on Sunday.
