A Maoist camp was busted following an exchange of fire between the police and the ultras in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Thursday night. The exchange of fire took place in the hilly jungle terrain of Tulasi Pahad near the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border. Malkangiri SP Jagmohan Meena led the joint operation of the District Voluntary Force and the Special Operation Group jawans.
Based on intelligence reports about the presence of a camp of armed Maoists in the area, the police conducted the anti-Maoist operation. The camp was located near Daldali and Gugupadar villages of Tulasi Pahad.
