Ahead of the World Heart Day, which is observed on September 29, the NTPC-Ramagundam Hospital in association with Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad has organised a free cardiac health check-up camp at Dhanwanthari Hospital in the NTPC township in Ramagundam on Saturday.
Cardiologist and Orthopaedicians from Apollo Hospital conducted free cardiac consultation, Bone Mineral Density (BMD) test and 2D ECHO of 149 patients at the camp.
Earlier, GM (O&M) A. K. Jain inaugurated the camp and appreciated hospital management for organising such camp for employees and their dependants. Chief Medical Officer Sashmita Dash spoke on World Heart Day and related statistics and trend on Heart related diseases.
This year the theme is: My Heart, Your Heart. It asks you to make a promise. A promise to eat more healthily, to get more active, to say no to smoking. The NTPC senior officials and office bearers of Ladies club, unions and association along with hospital staff were present on the occasion.
