Members belonging to the Puducherry Vijay Fans’ Association created a ruckus in a marriage hall near the Auroville police station limits in Villupuram district.
According to the Auroville police, fans of the actor created a commotion after they were denied permission to meet Mr. Vijay. The actor was here on Friday evening to attend the marriage function of the daughter of former Puducherry legislator Bussy Anand, who is the secretary of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, the actor’s official fan club. Irate over being denied permission to have an audience with the actor, his supporters damaged the furniture inside the marriage hall.
Police said they have booked a case against the office-bearers of the association under different sections of the Tamil Nadu Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act, 1959.
