Visvesvaraya: Google celebrates Engineer's Day this year with a doodle

Every year September 15 is celebrated as Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya’s birth anniversary and google is celebrating the day with a new doodle. This day is also celebrated as Engineers’ Day. M Visvesvaraya is most famous for founding the Visvesvaraya College of Engineering in 1917, but also played an instrumental role in the construction of the Krishna raja Sagar lake and the dam. He was also a recipient of the Bharat Ratna in 1955 and was knighted by the British empire as a knight of the realm.
