JAEGER-LECOULTRE Reverso for Director, Actor and Actress
The recipients of the Leono D’oro award for Best Film and the Copa Volpi award for Best Actress and Actor by conferring them with an iconic Reverso timepiece at the conclusion of the Venice International Film Festival recently. These original pieces, created by Jaeger-LeCoultre artisans, have been specially engraved with the symbol of Venice: a lion.
Cuarón Alfonso received the Leono d’Oro for Best Film with Roma, a brilliant semi-biographical film inspired by Cuarón’s childhood in the early 1970s in Mexico City. Roma had its world premiere at the 75th Venice International Film Festival on 30 August 2018.
Olivia Colman in the film The Favourite The Copa Volpi for Best Actress has been awarded to British actress Olivia Colman, in the role of Anne, Queen of Great Britain, in the film The Favourite, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.
The American-Italian actor Willem Dafoe received the Copa Volpi for Best Actor in the role of Vincent Van Gogh, in At Eternity’s Gate. Directed by Julian Schnabel, Willem Dafoe is remarkable in the role of the post-impressionist Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh, living in his last years in the south of France.
