A viral video of a boy violently beating up a girl in Delhi's Tilak Nagar went viral on social media recently. The accused has been identified as Rohit Tomar and is the son of a Delhi Police officer, Ashok Singh Tomar.
The video was recorded on September 2 around 3 pm inside a BPO located in Uttam Nagar area of Delhi. The BPO is owned by Rohit's friend Ali Hasan. According to sources, 21-year-old accused was unemployed and had recently started working at the BPO.
Ashok Singh Tomar is posted as an ASI in the narcotics department of Delhi Police (Central Delhi).

The police have filed a case against the accused under Section 506 and 354 of IPC [punishment for criminal intimidation and assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty] after the victim, Jyoti, lodged a complaint. against him.
