Hyderabad: Two-month-old girl found abandoned at metro station, rescued

HYDERABAD: A two-month-old baby girl, who was found abandoned at a Bharathnagar metro station on Wednesday, has been sent to a state-run home.

Nirnala, a security guard who was working at Bharathnagar metro station, saw the abandoned child near the lift of the station at around 1 pm on Wednesday.

After police were alerted, the baby was handed over to Shishu Vihar and a case was registered under section 317 (exposure and abandonment of child under 12 years) of IPC at Sanathnagar police station.
