After this, Manoj Sharma was scared and then he informed police.
Truck was located by GPS in Jhansi
The accused truck driver Jaykaran handed over a truck loaded with sugar, worth Rs 25 lakh to the notorious Adesh Khambra. Here, Manoj Sharma informed the police about the GPS installed in the truck. Through this, the location of the truck was found in Jhansi, instead of Poona after passing from Indore.
Then police reached Sultanpur (UP) via Kanpur, Barhamasi and Banaras while chasing the truck on the basis of the location found through GPS. Here, the team of 8 policemen of the IG office was tracking the location of the truck for 24 hours. At last, they got the truck.
GPS was installed secretly in the truck
GPAS was installed in the truck, at a place which cannot easily be seen by anyone. The truck driver and the cleaner also did not know about it. Manoj Sharma says that if the driver knew, then he would break and throw it.
Location was not tracked for two days
Transporter Manoj Sharma said that GPS operates through internet tower. But the GPS was closed for two days.Perhaps the truck was placed in such a place where there was no mobile network around. Actually, the GPS location starts to appear near the tower. The police reached the accused on the basis of such a location.
What is GPS ?
GPS is a kind of wireless service. Earlier it used to be available in 2G mobiles, now it is available in 3G and 4G also. It boosts Bluetooth, which supports the internet. As soon as it comes near to the mobile tower, it starts showing its location on the mobile or other device connected to it. With the view for the safety it can be installed in vehicle and by that the current location of the vehicle can be tracked.
