TRICHY: A total of 1,400 graduates and undergraduates received job offers from four software services companies in the 10-day
recruitment mela that concluded in SASTRA University in Thanjavur on Wednesday.
Software majors like Cognizant,
Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and WIPRO shared the day one recruitment slot, with TCS making the highest number of job offers. Overall, the varsity obtained 1,800 job offers, including the 400 made by Paypal, Symantec, Cypress, Microsoft, Zoho, Freshworks, Rockwell Collins, Tata Communications, Bajaj, TVS Motor and other product-company recruiters.
The university administration members said that the admission policy to reserve 20% seats to Trichy and Thanjavur students meant that over 260 local students have landed jobs in reputed companies.
