Go online to book home visit by mobile sahayak
NEW DELHI: Delhiites can now fill a form online to book an appointment with a mobile sahayak to avail doorstep delivery of services.
Keeping in mind the huge rush on 1076 call centre number, the government has created a link on its website where an applicant can fill a form with his details and submit it. “The call centre executive will call back on the phone number given in the form and fix an appointment. It will help those who complain that they can’t connect through the call centre number,” a government spokesperson said.
He, however, added that more number of people were able to connect to the call centre on Wednesday and fixed appointment with mobile sahayaks. A government statement said that by 5pm on Wednesday, 8,275 calls were answered by call centre executives, 2,187 appointments were booked and doorstep delivery team had visited 223 households.
“The total number of calls connected since the launch was 34,839. Rest of the calls were on waiting line. Messages were sent to 18,913 callers whose calls could not be answered and are in the process of being called back,” the statement said.
“There is a dedicated team which calls back those numbers which could not be answered. On Wednesday till 5 pm, the total number of unique numbers called back was 4,200. This was in addition to 8,275 calls answered by the operators,” it further said.
