There may soon be two high-profile Cabinet positions open in the Trump administration, and filling them could be difficult, according to a new report. Senate Republicans say that if Attorney General Jeff Sessions is fired, it may be impossible to confirm whoever President Donald Trump nominates to replace him, according to a report by Politico on Wednesday. Senators would be wary of confirming anyone likely to pull the plug on special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, Politico said. The report also said Defense Secretary Jim Mattis is likely to either be dismissed or resign after the midterm elections, and finding a replacement for him could be a challenge as well, as two Republican senators reportedly on Trump's short list say they're not interested in the job.
