2019 Audi E-Tron Teased In A New Commercial For The Emmy Awards

Audi has released a revealing new teaser video for the 2019 e-tron.

Set to air during the Emmy Awards, the 60 second commercial is called “Unleashed” and it gives us our best look at the production model ahead of its official unveiling on September 17th.

While the video only provides a few glimpses of the electric crossover, it shows the model will remain pretty faithful to the e-tron prototype which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. While much of the styling carries over to the production model, there’s a lot more chrome detailing as bright accents can be seen on the air intakes and side skirts.

We can also see plastic body cladding and distinctive LED headlights. The latter are echoed out back by LED taillights which are connected by a thin illuminated stripe.

The prototype’s high-tech interior carries over to the production model as we can see the e-tron will have a digital instrument cluster, an infotainment system and a lower display for accessing climate control and convenience features. While the clip doesn’t show the crossover’s side mirror displays, the cameras themselves can be seen in the video.

Elsewhere, the cabin has metallic accents and a four-spoke steering wheel which mimics the one used in the A8. Other notable features include a large gear selector and a center console which has an assortment of different buttons.

Audi didn’t release any new information about the model, but the e-tron is expected to have two electric motors and a 95 kWh battery pack. This is slated to give the crossover a range of approximately 250 miles (402 km).

Full details will be announced next week and Audi will begin accepting reservations from U.S. customers on September 17th for a $1,000.
