Cool weather is expected for the southern and western parts of the country but warm to hot weather has been predicted for the north on Friday.
Warnings
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over parts of Gert Sibande District and the southern parts of Nkangala District of Mpumalanga, the Free State, the North West, Gauteng and the north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape as well as the north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal.
Rain
Isolated showers are expected at times over the southwestern parts of the Western Cape.
Temperatures
Minimum temperatures are expected to be cool across the central parts of the country, with warm weather along the coastline and East Coast and hot weather along the northern border.
Sutherland in the Northern Cape and Vryburg in the North West are expected to be two of the coldest places, dropping to a below-freezing -1°C.
Maximum temperatures are expected to be cool across the southern and western parts of the country and cold weather conditions are expected for the upper central parts of the Western Cape as well as the south-western parts of the Northern Cape in the Sutherland region.
Warm weather has been predicted for the northern and eastern parts of the country, including the northern parts of the Northern Cape and the North West, the Highveld and the East Coast, while the northern border is expected to be hot.
One of the hottest places is expected to be Skukuza in Mpumalanga, reaching a high of 37°C.

Pretoria is expected to reach a high of 31°C, while Johannesburg is expected to reach a high of 29°C and Bloemfontein a high of 24°C.
Along the coast, Cape Town is expected to reach a high of 17°C, while Port Elizabeth is expected to reach a high of 21°C and Durban a high of 25°C.
