MYSURU: A newly elected corporator turned good Samaritan on Wednesday, when he rushed an ailing elderly man on 100 Feet Road to Krishna Rajendra (KR) Hospital.
V Lokesh, a Congress leader was elected from ward 50, received a call from citizens who found the elderly man on the thoroughfare in a semi-conscious state. "I rushed to the spot with my friends. It appeared as though he had not eaten for a long time, and we fed him. We then rushed him to KR Hopsital, where he will undergo treatment for a few days after which we will decide whether we must shift him to an old-age home or any other facility. He is not in a position to speak. I feel honoured to help such people. I am glad to be of some help having been elected for the first time," he told TOI.
