Watch Doug DeMuro Take Delivery Of His ‘New’ 2005 Ford GT

As of last week, Doug DeMuro has a new ride in his garage: a 2005 Ford GT.

The supercar was bought from a private collector, who held on to it for 13 years, during which he put over 31,000 miles (49,890 kilometers) on the clock.

As for the reason behind the Ford enthusiast’s departure with the American supercar, that would be taking delivery of a new 2019 Ford GT. The man admitted he needed both the garage space and the money from the old GT.

Finished in blue with white stripes, the Blue Oval’s supercar is in pristine condition, as its former owner took great care of it over the years. But since leaving the supercar was hard, after taking it to different events, the track, and even a few road trips, the seller, Karl Brauer, said he might request ownership of it again in the future.

DeMuro is no stranger to the GT. In fact, he has already tested both the previous-gen and the modern Ford GTs on a few occasions, and on one of them, he even compared the two, which may come from different eras, but they’re pretty much racing cars for the road, even though they are totally different in terms of engineering, styling and performance.
