Miss and Mr Bhavana event organised at Andhra Loyola College

VIJAYAWADA: The annual cultural fest of PG Block of Andhra Loyola College, Bhavana18 – Cultures for Unity began with singing and dance and mime competitions. The Miss and Mr Bhavana event was also held for all PG students, who represented in three Houses namely Sciences, Management and Computer Sciences and showcased their talents.

Subsequently, the valedictory function was held in the evening for which Ms B Raja Kumari, city Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime) attended as the chief guest while Dr MC Das, Professor Emeritus of Commerce was present as the Guest of Honour for the programme.

The chief guest B Raja Kumari addressed the audience and appreciated the students for being united though they come from different cultural backgrounds and advised them to find suitable career options. She guided the students to work hard to chase better targets and wished them to be best among all.

Dr MC Das, said that the student life is most befitting to nurture the values and committed to social commitment which is possible by getting cultural consciousness, and the growth of the students is co-existent with their rich culture and cultural acceptance.

Later prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners of various competitions by. Father Dr Rex Angelo delivered the closing remarks. The overall Championship was won by MCA, while House MBA and M Sc stood second and third for the championship.

The Principal of the college Fr Dr GA Peter Kishore, Rector Rev Fr P Balashowry SJ and Correspondent Fr Dr Sagayaraj SJ greeted the students for their efforts in arranging the Cultural Festival. The program was organised by Fr Dr A Rex Angelo, and supervised by Mrs Mary Manjula Rani, the coordinator of Bhavana 2K18 and the co-vice principal N Bharathi, the faculty members, students and non-teaching staff were participated in the programme.
