Justice Gogoi appointed new CJI

NEW DELHI: Justice Ranjan Gogoi was today appointed as the 46th Chief Justice of India, a Law Ministry notification said.

He will take oath on October 3 after incumbent Dipak Misra retires.

Gogoi’s tenure will last till November 2019. (AGENCIES)
