Harrifest slated for Sept. 21 and 22

Harrifest, the two-day celebration of George Harrison and The Beatles will be held Friday, Sept. 21 and Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Seaport Inn and Marina in Fairhaven.

Westport resident Rachel Cabral, who started Harrifest in 2004, will be performing again this year in The Oh Nos, along with her husband, Wayne Cabral.

It starts on Friday, Sept. 21 with The Night Before Party and Savoy Truffle Dessert Bar hosted by Cha-Chi Loprete of Breakfast with The Beatles. Friday night features a presentation by Beatles archivist Eric Taros, who worked on Ron Howard’s “Eight Days a Week” film as an archive specialist.

On Saturday, the doors open at 2:30 with the following bands slated to perform: Secret Agents, Billy Shears, By George, Thatcher Harrison, Jeffrey Dicera, Patricia and Tom Kelley, A Band of Nates, The Oh Nos, The Mockers and Walrus Gumboot.
