Samsung unveils its largest mobile experience centre in Bengaluru Samsung Electronics has unveiled its largest mobile experience centre in the world in Bengaluru, that aims to be a hub for innovations, lifestyle, entertainment and culture in the city.

The centre which is spread across 33,000 square feet at the iconic Opera House in the city, will showcase Samsung's entire lineup of smartphones, wearable devices, audio products and accessories along with its flagship consumer electronics products such as the QLED TV, Smart TVs, The Frame, and Family Hub Refrigerators. It will also have a fully functional customer service center.

The Home Appliance zone will have a kitchen set up where a chef will provide live cooking demonstrations using Samsung smart ovens.

The centre will be equipped with public wi-fi and showcase differentiated product experiences to consumers across areas like Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and Internet of Things. This includes VR experiences such as the 4D Sway Chair or the Whiplash Pulsar 4D chair that makes 360 degrees three-dimensional movements.

Other experiences include VR-based kayaking or rowing and cycling for fitness enthusiasts. Samsung said consumers will also be able to pre-book the home theatre zone within the centre for watching movies and shows with their families.

The centre will also host events around fitness, photography, gaming, music, movies, food, stand-up comedy, technology and startups across the year, the company said in a statement.

“Today's consumers, especially millennials, seek unique experiences. They want to interact with the brand, touch, feel and create. We have curated never seen before experiences that will excite people of all age groups alike. Opera House will also organize workshops, activities and events, bringing together Samsung’s innovations with people’s passions. We are proud of the transformation that this place has seen,” said HC Hong, President & CEO, Samsung SouthWest Asia.

This launch comes less than two months after it debuted the world’s largest mobile factory in Noida in July this year, doubling its current capacity for mobile phones from 68 million units a year to 120 million units a year. Samsung is investing around Rs 5,000 crore for this facility.

The Korean tech giant also claims to have the largest retail and distribution network in the country with over 180,000 retail partners and 2,100 Samsung brand stores across the country.
