Stonehill International School (
SIS) celebrates 10 years of holistic international education in a collaborative, stimulating and caring environment. The day marked the inauguration of the school's latest world class sports hall, which has been made as per British norms, required for holistic and professional sports developmental activities in international schools.
Sports hall was inaugurated by
Prakash Padukone, former badminton champion;
Ashwini Nachappa, former international track athlete; and Ajeet Bajaj and Deeya Bajaj, the first father-daughter duo to scale Mount Everest.
Prakash Padukone, while inaugurating the hall said, "I am extremely delighted that sports and games in the country is picking up. 10 years back, there were more emphasis given on the performance of the academics, but I am happy and impressed to see schools and colleges encouraging children to take part in sports activities."
Simon McCloskey, the Head of School, highlights school's achievements, "Stonehill International School is a centre for innovative teaching. We provide IB education to students from almost 40 nationalities."
