Vadodara: One person was killed and at least 15 people were injured in a road accident involving three private luxury buses and a car near toll plaza on Vadodara-Ahmedabad Express Highway on Tuesday night.
The accident took place late in the night when the buses were going towards Ahmedabad. However, it was not known where the buses were arriving from. Five ambulances were dispatched by 108 GVK-EMRI services from Karelibaug, Kapurai Chowkdi, Narmada Bhuvan among other locations to rush the injured people to hospital.
GVK-EMRI officials said many patients had received minor injuries and were given first aid at the accident spot while three, who were severely injured, were rushed to SSG Hospital. Sources said some injured persons were also taken to primary health centres at Bhadarva. Traffic snarls were witnessed on the express highway after the accident. However, cops from Bhadarva police station immediately cleared the traffic jam.tnn
