West Bengal gets Rs 28 crore-gift for Durga Puja from Mamata Banerjee but no fuel tax cut
At a time when petrol prices are hitting the roof across the country, West Bengal seems to be basking in their ‘Durga Puja’ glory. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced a donation of Rs 10,000 for each of the 28,000 puja committees in the state, doling out Rs 28 crores from the state exchequer.
