HYDERABAD: A total of 3,759 candidates qualified in the Telangana State-State Eligibility Test (TS-SET), results of which are announced on Friday.
Of the 51,739 candidates who have appeared for the exam which was conducted for 29 subjects on July 14, only 7.27 percent of candidates were able to clear the exam. The exam was conducted in seven Regional Centers i.e. Adilabad, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad &Warangal for which a total of 64, 994 candidates have registered.
The University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Telangana State-State Eligibility Test (TS-SET) for Assistant Professor/Lectureship to the
Osmania University in December 2016. The candidates who qualify in this Test are eligible for appointment for the post of Lecturer / Assistant Professor in Degree Colleges and Universities in Telangana.
In order to be considered for eligibility for Assistant Professor, the candidates must have appeared in two papers and secured at least 40 percent aggregate marks in two papers taken together for General Category candidates and at least 35 percent aggregate marks in two papers taken together for all candidates belonging to reserved categories i.e., SC, ST, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D & BC-E and PWD
