Two pedestrians fall victims to speeding bike on NH

Thiruvananthapuram: Two pedestrians, who were engaged in contract work in Infosys campus in the city, were killed after they were hit by a high-end motorcycle moving at a dangerous speed on national highway 66 near Infosys.
Manzoor (30) and Mohammed AlI (28) hailing from Feroke in Kozhikode are the deceased. Two men on the motorcycle, Manimuth (30) and Naveen (19) both hailing from Dindigul in Tamil Nadu, too have suffered serious injuries in the accident. They are under treatment in critical care unit in a city hospital. The vehicle involved is a 373cc ‘KTM 390 Duke’.

The police said that accident occurred around 8.30pm on Monday. Both men were thrown off into the air in the impact. “Video footages recovered from a restaurant nearby shows that both pedestrians carefully checked the traffic on both sides before crossing the road,” said Thumba sub-inspector Prathap Chandran. The two riders were visiting the city to attend a housewarming ceremony.
