Oppo A7X goes official in China;Price, specifications and more

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched a new smartphone -- called the Oppo A7X -- in its home country. The handset has a gradient back design and a waterdrop notch on the top of the display.

The handset has been listed on the company's official Chinese website at a price of 2,099 Yuan (approximately Rs 22,149).

The Oppo A7X will go on sale starting September 14 at 10 pm local time. It is currently now available for reservation on the official website in two colour options -- Starry Purple and Ice Flame Blue
Oppo A7X specifications
In terms of specs, the Oppo A7X offers a 6.3-inch FHD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels resolution) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor (four cores of Cortex-A73 and four cores of Cortex-A53) clocked at to 2.0 GHz with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU for graphics.
In terms of camera, the Oppo A7X has an AI-equipped 16-megapixel front facing snapper that is said to support 296 facial spots for capturing better selfies. On the back, users get a dual camera setup with a primary camera of 16-megapixel. The official listing does not specify the secondary rear camera of the handset.
It runs on Color OS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. There is only one storage variant of the handset featuring 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
From the specs and design, the handset seems to be the Chinese variant of the Oppo F9 Pro that was launched in India at Rs 23,990. When the device was launched in India, it was also launched in Sunrise Red colour option as well. In India, the Oppo F9 Pro comes in a 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant.
