NOIDA: Igniting the suspended ADM-retired Colonel dispute once again, the ADM’s wife confronted the media for the first time after almost one month of the incident with the
retired colonel levelling counter-allegations.
Allegations rained in as the ADM’s wife claimed that she was framed under section 307 (attempt to murder) because "of being a
Dalit and a woman alleging that she was repeatedly harassed by the veteran for four years", charges denied by the veteran.
The
ADM, however, did not confront the media.
She said that the veteran used casteist remarks repeatedly against her on the morning of August 14 to the women who were celebrating the Teej function.
She claimed that the ADM and his gunner was not present when the incident happened.
When asked about both the gunner and the ADM being visible in the CCTV footage of the park, she said that it was the video of inside the park and the area where the incident happened was not captured in the CCTV.
Asked why she did not complain earlier of the alleged harassment, she claimed that she had to “live there and raise her children.”
Demanding a CB-CID investigation into the case, she said that she had met the BSP supremo
Mayawati a few days ago.
Meanwhile, in a parallel press briefing, the veteran rubbished the allegations stating that he had not even spoken to the ADM’s wife
in four years.
“They are still roaming free. They were given leverage to get a stay order on their arrest even as they conspired against me by telling lies. Her husband pushed me down and hit me in the park. The CCTV is there showing his friend and gunner too. It is shameful that a woman is making such allegations. I was waiting for my cab and I was not even talking to her. There are five CCTV cameras in their premises, if they have any evidence, please ask them to produce it. I only stay here for two months,” he said.
He said that he complained about the illegal construction because it was hindering movement of vehicle from his garage and the front door.
Asked about the ADM’s wife levelling allegations of making casteist remarks, he said that his cook for five years also belonged to that category. “On the excuse of caste, she is shielding the accused. I run free training sessions for youths’ entry into the Army in four districts, 70 per cent of these youths belong to that category,” he said.
He alleged that the police did not lodge a separate FIR on the complaint of the cook, who belongs to the SC/ST category.
“The ADM was hand in glove with the police officers who wanted to frame me under the section of rape. But an officer said in order to do that, rape has to be proved. So they could not do that,” he said.
Veterans Action Group (VAG) formed to look into grievances of the war veterans said they had met the SSP and requested him that the chargesheet against the accused in the matter be expedited.
