‘Rutu Hirwa’ enchants with melodious songs

Nagpur: ‘Rutu Hirwa’, a music programme organized by Swarved that comprised Marathi and Hindi songs, brought nostalgic moments of various seasons at Scientific Society Hall, Laxmi Nagar, on Saturday.
Aditya Sawarkar set the tone of the programme by presenting Manna Dey’s famous Marathi song ‘Ghan ghan mala nabhi datalya kosalti dhara’. This was followed by Ashwini Lule singing ‘Vara gai gaane’ in her melodious voice. Pratiksha Pattalwar sang ‘Asa bebhan ha vara nadila pur alela’ with near perfection.

Hindi song ‘Naino mein badra chhaye’ was rendered by Sharmila Charalwar. Rachna Mahajan sang ‘Kare kare badra’ while Dhiraj Ote presented Shankar Mahadevan’s famous Marathi song ‘Mann udhaan varyache’.

‘Suno sajna’, a Hindi track, was presented by Shruti Baiwar while Deepali Sapre sang Lata Mangeshkar’s ‘Ab ke sajan sawan mein’. Shamla Charalwar sang ‘Vadal vara sutla ga’. ‘Sawan ke jhule pade’ was presented by Falguni Kurhekar. The programme concluded with Rutuja Ladse presenting popular ‘Rutu hirwa’.

The accompanying artistes were Ravi Satfale (tabla), Ajit Bhalerao (synthesizer), Mahendra Vajudkar (octopad), Vinit Kamble (dholak), Ajay Vekhande (violin) and Tushar Vighne.

The event was hosted by poetess Ujwala Andhare.

Madhurika Gadkari and Padmaja Sinha were the chief guests.
