CHANDIGARH: Tricity residents should keep their umbrellas in handy this week as well with the met department officials from Chandigarh have announced the possibility of one or two spells of rain on daily basis during the coming week.
On Sunday as well scattered rainfall was recorded across the Tricity. While the airport observatory recorded 2mm rainfall, the
city observatory reported 0.8mm rainfall, till 5.30pm.
The
humidity levels are likely to remain up while maximum temperatures are expected to be around 33-34 degrees and minimum temperature is expected to be close to 25-26 degrees.
On Sunday, maximum temperature was recorded slightly lower than Saturday owing to cloudy sky and scattered rainfall. It was 33 degrees Celsius, close to normal, while on Saturday it was 33.3 degree Celsius.
The minimum temperature was recorded higher than Saturday's at 26.6 degrees Celsius, five degrees above normal. On Saturday, the minimum temperature was 24 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
The humidity level was recorded at 90% on Sunday while it was 93% on Saturday.
For Monday, the sky is expected to be generally cloudy with likely rain and thundershowers.
The maximum temperature is expected to be 33 degrees Celsius while minimum will be around 26 degrees Celsius.
