Weather Update: Warmer weather for northern parts of SA, cooler for the rest

Temperatures are expected to increase across the northern and eastern parts of the country on Tuesday.

Warnings

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected for the northern parts of the Northern Cape.

Temperatures

Minimum temperatures are expected to be cold across the central interior while cooler conditions are expected for the rest of the country.

The East Coast is expected to be moderate.

Sutherland in the Northern Cape, will be dropping to below-freezing -3°C.

Maximum temperatures are expected to be warm along the southern coastline, the East Coast, the northern border, the northern and central parts of the Northern Cape and parts of the Western Cape.

Cooler weather is expected along the West Coast and coastline, the northern parts of the Eastern Cape, the eastern parts of the Free State and the Highveld region.

A few places are expected to reach a high of 27°C.

Pretoria and Bloemfontein are expected to reach a high of 25°C, while Johannesburg is expected to reach a high of 23°C.

Along the coast, Cape Town is expected to reach a high of 19°C, while Port Elizabeth and Durban are expecting a high of 24°C.
