Maulana Kalbe jawadNoted Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad has demanded Yogi government in Uttar pradesh to take action against UP Shia Central Waqf Board chief Waseem Rizvi for his alleged controversial remarks.

Jawad said Rizvi’s remarks will lead to tension between Hindus and Muslims. Jawad claimed he had met CM Yogi Adityanath earlier in the day and told him that the Govt and the administration would be responsible if Rizvi’s statements led to any communal tension in UP. The cleric also warned of a joint protest by Shias and Sunnis if no action was taken against Rizvi’s alleged corruption in Shia waqf properties.

“Rizvi enjoys political patronage and thus makes controversial statements. One day he speaks against madrassas, next day he shows disrespect to Ayatullah Sistani. Shias have got nothing to do with this man who is sitting on the post of Shia Waqf chief,” said Jawad.
