PANAJI: The slippery naked intruder, who was arrested on Friday by
Panaji police for giving residents of a housing complex in Dona Paula sleepless nights, was remanded in police custody for three days for further investigation.
Police produced the accused before the judicial magistrate first class on Saturday. The accused,
Tulsidas Shirodkar, 35, is a resident of Mudar, Taleigao.
A police officer said the accused was not cooperating in the investigation.
In their complaint, residents of the housing complex have stated that they woke up in the mornings to find their doors and windows, which they had locked at night, open.
“The intruder is able to unlock the hall and kitchen windows from the outside even when they are locked and secure from inside. It is worth noting that we checked two houses with grilles on the windows and they had no signs of entry,” they said.
An important aspect to the break-ins, the residents said was that the man only entered houses where there were women and watched them sleep.
Residents said the man, whom they described as very skinny, of medium height, dark skinned, with oil smeared all over his body, and wearing only an underwear, has targeted only one block of the complex.
“The same person or persons has been entering most of the houses in the building around 3.30am or 4am, since at least the last three months,” the complainants said.
While some people have reported finding mysterious patches of oil in their homes, three women complainants have said their undergarments were missing.
