With tears flowing down my eyes, I watched the military carrying the casket with the body of Sen. John McCain up the stairs to the Arizona State Capital.

I never heard of McCain until I heard the man in the White House (which shall remain nameless) said he didn't like men who were caught. What a terrible statement. Then I saw Meghan McCain on "The View" and she spoke of her dad and then I started to research who McCain was. What a unique, wonderful hero. There are many military men still living who were in the Vietnam war. Whenever I see a military man with a hat that says "veteran," I talk to them and thank them for their service.

I had an uncle Joseph Ciesla missing in action for years and our family thought he was dead. They found him in a Brockton military hospital shell shocked, where he later died. I think of him often and what he must of went through.

Vice President Joseph Biden said he was a Democrat and McCain was a Republican and he loved him. I now feel the same. I still hope and pray Biden will be our next president.

I could not believe that McCain's 106-year-old mother is still living and looking great. She held Meghan's hand at the funeral.

I felt the pain of Cindy McCain how she must of loved that man and stood by his side until the very end, and also the speech that Meghan gave was heartwarming and everyone had tears flowing from their eyes. It took such courage to say that long tribute to her dad, who helped her get back on that horse again after she fell off. She did get back on that horse and she is still going strong, and she is a lot like her dad. She said things about her dad crying but then she got strong and said what she wanted to say.

It was a very sad week but it brought all of us Americans together again, Democrats and Republicans. This is a great country and we will have a president that will run this country like it should be run. Have faith as I do. God bless all the heroes who didn't make it back from these terrible wars and also those who were captured and tortured like John McCain and are suffering until today.

McCain was laid to rest in a private ceremony at his favorite place, at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. Our loved ones were not as famous as McCain, but to us all who have lost loved ones they are just as great as he was.
