BJP President Amit Shah today described the grand alliance as an eyewash, illusion and based on falsehood and asked the party workers to expose it among the people.
Defence Minister and senior party leader Nirmala Sitharaman briefed media on party president Amit Shah’s speech after the day one of BJP’s two-day national executive meeting in New Delhi.
Quoting Mr Shah, Ms. Sitharaman said, the no-confidence motion brought by the opposition shows their frustration and disruptive politics. She said that the BJP is working on making India, while Congress is indulging in politics of breaking India.
Quoting BJP president, Ms. Sitharaman said, the next Lok Sabha election will be fought on the basis of Modi government’s achievements and asked party workers to take government’s good work to the people.
Mr. Shah said, youth, poor, woman and every section has been touched by the NDA government’s schemes. He also spoke about Kerala flood and urged party workers to keep contributing for the rehabilitation.
The 2-day national executive meet of BJP has begun in New Delhi on Saturday. Prime Minister Modi, senior BJP leader L K Advani, BJP President Amit Shah and Arun Jaitley lit the lamp, heralding the formal inauguration of BJP National Executive meeting.
Upcoming assembly and next year’s general elections are likely to be the focus of deliberations at this meet.
All senior leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states are participating in the national executive meeting.
Besides, party is discussing ways as how the benefits of central schemes reach the common man. Organizational issues are also likely to be taken up.
A slogan of “Ajey BJP” or Invincible BJP was adopted at the meeting of the party’s national office bearers and also presidents of its state units.
They pledged to work for the party’s victory in assembly polls in five states and a decision was taken to give extra emphasis on the elections in Telangana, which is likely to go the polls with states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh
