PICS: Super luxury Cape Town villas for R89 000 to R189 000 per day

Short-term rental agents across the Cape are expecting a busy summer season, according to Seeff’s short stay teams in Cape Town and Hermanus.

The season usually starts from around September or October and lasts to April when the last foreign visitors leave.
 
Jason Da Costa from Seeff Atlantic Seaboard says Airbnb has boosted the short-term rental sector in recent years.  Although rates are under pressure due to the dip in visitors this year, agents are looking forward to a busy summer.
 
Camps Bay and Clifton top the list of most sought-after areas, but there is demand across the city including Hout Bay and Llandudno, the southern suburbs and as far as Hermanus.
 
The Atlantic Seaboard tends to attract the big spenders looking for a 5-star home-away-from-home experience. While the high season rates for apartments range from R2 500 to R10 000 per night, there are luxury villas for R20 000 to R30 000 per night and the most opulent homes go for anything above R50 000 to R250 000 per night.
 
Da Costa says clients tend to want a great experience, especially at the top end of the market. Views are always a top choice, or as close to the beach as possible.

Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard can be described as the premier coastal belt in the country and, judging by what is on offer for the coming summer season, well-to-do holiday makers are prepared to dig deep for the pleasure.

Bantry Bay villa for R189 000:

This villa in Bantry Bay offers three to five bedrooms, a study and library, a deck and pool and access to a spa.

A villa in Clifton for R180 000 per day:

This villa has six luxurious bedroom suites. It also boasts an expansive entertainment area with a pool lounge and bar on a glass floor. This area leads to the pool area.

The property further offers a party room with a pool table and table tennis, a gymnasium, sauna and steam room, secluded 12-seater cinema, swimming pool, air-conditioning, heating, and spectacular ocean views.

Another Clifton villa for R180 000 per day:

Located in sought after Nettleton Road, Clifton, this property offers spectacular views and "a magnificent lifestyle" according to Da Costa.

Apart from a presidential penthouse, it offers five suites, luxurious living areas and a swimming pool.

Clifton villa for R150 000 per day:

This villa was designed by renowned architect Stefan Antoni. It consists of multiple levels accessed by a private lift.

There is a private cinema, five-bedroom suites of which two are master suites, a gymnasium, a Zen garden and infinity pool.

The property also offers staff accommodation and multi-car garages apart from spectacular sea views as far as the eye can see.

Villa in Fresnaye for R110 000 per day:

This villa is described as super luxury. It consists of multiple storeys villa and has a private lift.

There are four-bedroom suites, a gymnasium and steam room, private cinema, double volume living areas, outdoor entertainment areas and view decks, a swimming pool and stunning Atlantic Seaboard views - even from the bathrooms.

Camps Bay villa for R89 500 per day:

This Stefan Antoni-designed villa spans two levels and comes with six-bedroom suites - including two master suites.

The property offers two large indoor and outdoor entertainment areas, both with rim flow pools, iMac’s, Apple TV and Sonos, satellite TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and underfloor heating.
