PUNE: Strongly fancied Glyndebourne galloped to expectations while winning the Dinkoo N Chenoy Trophy  with a measure of comfort and was in command, for most of the 1000 meter  journey at the Pune Race Course on Friday.

He got off to a steady start and led the small field until Clymene made an attempt to scoot away.

However, Glyndebourne  did not fall for this ploy and did not let Clymene go too far once the latter got past the half way stage.

Glyndebourne, with Jockey P Trevor  in the saddle, galloped strongly once they turned for home and had little difficulty in sailing past Clymene to pocket the trophy without any fuss.

Clymene lost to a better horse for the distance and ended at a decent second position.

Meanwhile Double Nine raised no hope to finish at the third place, a distance ahead of Mygrator, who showed no zip at any point.
