A 20-point first quarter set the tone for the Case Cardinals in Friday night's 42-13 victory over Bristol-Plymouth.

A fumble recovery by Isaac Tucker, a kickoff return by Clayton Dyer and a Ty Couto 3-yard run propelled the Cards to the early lead in the season opener for both teams.

First-year quarterback Danny Silva also tossed a pair of touchdown passes, one to Dyer and another to Ryan Martin as the Cardinals held a 35-7 lead after three quarters.

Martin, who finished with nine carries for 43 yards, also added a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Couto rushed 14 times for 75 yards and his touchdown.

B-P scored on a James Carson kickoff return in the opening quarter, and then added a 12-yard run by Marcus Pittsley in the fourth quarter.
