The Met department website suggests that the day temperature is expected to drop to 32°C till Saturday, which is likely to rise to 34°C till Monday. The weathermen have predicted that night temperature is likely to rise to 26°C till Sunday.

Meanwhile, the residents are enjoying the pleasant weather.

“The past couple of days were too hot and humid. We had no option but to use air conditioners at work and at home round-the-clock. Moreover, we had been drinking a lot of water because of constant perspiration due to high humidity. However, the rain has brought a pleasant change in the weather and I hope that it continues to stay like this for some days,” said Munish Kumar, a trader from Civil Lines.

Teenagers were also seen delighted by the cool weather.

“Not only did it rain but overcast conditions brought the cool breeze back. I went to the terrace to enjoy the rainfall and the breeze,” said Simran, a 15-year-old student from BRS Nagar.
