Letter to the Editor: A Fall River company with great customer service

I am writing this letter to show my deep appreciation for a local company that truly does “Make It Here.” I was in need of a new mattress and box spring to replace my Sealy Posturpedic that had seen better days. On the sales tax holiday weekend, I made my way to Ecin Bedding Factory located at 1 Ace St. in the Sagamore Mill that once housed Trina Manufacturing.

The saleslady was very knowledgeable and we were able to choose a mattress and box spring to fit my needs. There were delivered on the following Saturday as promised. Ecin delivers, sets up and removes the old items, all included in the stated price.

After the delivery men left, I noticed that my bed was very high. I had to hop up to get on and my feet dangled over the side, high off the floor. Being an old lady, I feared falling when trying to get up in the middle of the night. The error had been on my part. I had failed to measure the height of my bed frame.

On Monday, I returned to Ecin and explained my problem. I asked if they had a thinner mattress. The gentleman responded that if one wants a thinner mattress, one goes to the store that advertises on TV which I will leave unnamed. To solve my problem, he said he could make a thinner box spring. The box spring was delivered on the following Saturday and indeed, the problem was solved with surprisingly no extra charge.

I am simply amazed. I have never slept on such a comfortable mattress. If anyone in the Fall River area is in need of a mattress of any type, I highly recommend that you go to Ecin. They make them on site. You will received an excellent product and at a fair price and with exemplary service seldom seen in the 21st century.

I am truly grateful to this fine company that does indeed “Make It Here” and employs a local work force.
