HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said he would continue to pursue with his idea of
Federal Front and claimed he had not misused public money for the chartered flights he takes to various places. KCR said his efforts at the Federal Front would continue. “I will unite all regional parties so that states would get their due from the Centre,” he said, explaining the purpose of the Federal Front. Asked if he would join the NDA if invited after the
Lok Sabha elections, KCR said the question does not arise.
The CM had announced that leaders of various political parties from across the country would be invited for the large public meeting on September 2 that the TRS organised. Later, KCR decided not to invite anyone. Responding sharply to Congress criticism on his speech at Pragathi Nivedana Sabha at Kongara Kalan, he said: “They are saying that my speech lacked punch. My speech was meant to convey to the people the developmental activities undertaken by the government. I am not someone who speaks out of context and unnecessarily.”
To a question about whether he knows of videos circulating about those coming to TRS public meet consuming liquor and money being distributed, he refused to answer and said, “that is a silly question. I will not comment on it.”
