Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged match-fixing between the Election Commission of India and caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on the early polls.
Mr. Reddy said if there was no match-fixing what prompted Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao to say that he personally spoke to Chief Election Commissioner and other Commissioners on the schedule. “Mr. Rao also announced the schedule that elections will be held in November and the results will be out in December first week. If this is not match fixing what is it,” he asked at a press conference in New Delhi.
Mr. Reddy, who is in New Delhi for a meeting of Congress leadership, ridiculed Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao’s claims on Telangana achieving high growth rate.
He said under Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana has emerged on top in corruption, farmers’ suicides, debts and sale of liquor. Moreover, he alleged, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao’s family has looted the wealth of Telangana and indulged in large-scale corruption.
The next elections, Mr. Reddy said, would be “KCR Family Vs People of Telangana” and the latter would certainly win. “Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao has shattered people’s dream of Telangana and now the same people would turn KCR’s nightmare of defeat in next elections into a reality,” he said.
Comments condemned
The TPCC chief also condemned Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao for the derogatory language used against Mr. Rahul Gandhi and also former prime ministers. He asked why did he fall on Sonia Gandhi’s feet right after formation of Telangana and said the language used on Thursday to abuse Gandhi family only reflects how “uncouth and ungrateful person he is”.
Stating that the press conference of the TRS president was full of lies and his arrogance that he can cheat Telangana people forever. People are ready to bury the TRS party and Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao’s family deep whenever elections are held.

AICC secretary Madhu Yashki Goud ridiculed the claim of Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao on closure of card rooms and said he allowed opening of pubs indiscriminately to benefit his son K. T. Rama Rao, whom he accused of owning shares in several pubs. He said KCR and KTR have “looted people” encouraging sand mafia. He asked how did the KCR family earn thousands of crores from a stage where they used to travel on old scooters.
Mr. Goud also warned Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao to keep his tongue under control while criticising the Gandhi family and Congress or else his family would also get the same treatment from Congress cadre. Meanwhile, the Youth Congress has called for burning the effigy of KCR at all mandal headquarters for his derogatory remarks against Mr. Rahul Gandhi.
