An explosive wildfire shut down about 45 miles of a major California interstate near the Oregon border. Truckers and motorists abandoned their vehicles after they came close to the explosive wildfire. The fire erupted Wednesday afternoon in a rural area and it nearly tripled in size overnight, according to officials. The wildfire has blackened 23 square miles (60 square kilometers) that led officials to mandatory evacuation. Officials further trying their best to reopen the highway as it is a key route for commercial trucks.
