RAJKOT: A PhD research scholar of Saurashtra University’s biosciences department has lodged a complaint of
sexual harassment against her guide.
The student filed the complaint with women sexual harassment cell of the university on Friday. She alleged that in the past few months, he used to call her to his chamber and use words with sexual connotations. When she stopped going to his chamber, the professor then allegedly threatened that he won’t allow her to complete the thesis.
She then informed her family members about approached the sexual harassment cell. Acting vice-chancellor of SU Nilambari Dave told TOI: “We have received the complaint and probing the allegations. Once the investigation is completed, we will take action.”
