Powerful earthquake on Japan's northernmost main island of Hokkaido triggered dozens of landslides. At least 9 people killed as houses crushed under torrents of dirt, rocks and timber. Official sources also indicate that at least 366 people were injured whereas many are still missing in the incident. Officials further said that the magnitude of the earthquake is 6.7 in the Richter Scale. After the quake hits Japan, nearly 3 million households were left without power. Rescue work is currently undergoing.
