Adrien Rabiot: Paris Saint-Germain to Liverpool

ESPN reports that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is lining up a move to sign PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer.

Rabiot is in the final year of his contract at the French champions and Klopp, a long-term admirer, has reportedly spoken with the 23-year-old to discuss a potential move.

Barcelona have also been linked with Rabiot but in October last year he revealed in a radio interview that he grew up supporting the Reds. Rabiot told RMC: “I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young.”

Vertonghen expects Spurs extension

Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen believes the club will trigger a clause in his contract and extend his stay until 2020. The Belgian’s current deal expires at the end of the season but Spurs have the option to extend it a further year. Vertonghen said: “I think they will take up the option. Pogba ‘won’t push for January exit’
