TPCC vice-president and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar has alleged that the TRS party was spending several crores of rupees for the mobilisation of public for the Husnabad public meeting, scheduled on Friday.
He said that the meeting is a damage-control exercise for the TRS after their failure to mobilise the public for the meeting in Hyderabad.
‘Show of strength’
Talking to newsmen in Husnabad on Thursday, he said the TRS leaders were mobilising public from entire Karimnagar, Medak and Warangal districts for Husnabad assembly segment meeting as a show of strength.
Cautioning the people to be wary of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who is again coming to deceive people with false promises, he asked why the government had failed to fulfill the promise of providing irrigation sources to 1.5 lakh acres in the segment by completing the Gouravelli and Gandipelli reservoirs.
He asked the government to show the promised 100-bedded hospital in Husnabad town.
He also said that the land oustees of Gouravelli were not provided with suitable relief and rehabilitation package so far.
Martyrs memorial
He also ridiculed the Chief Minister for paying tributes to Telangana martyrs memorial in Hyderabad when he had failed to construct the biggest Telangana martyrs memorial in Hyderabad city.
