Sahil, Ansh strike as Orbis wins

PUNE: The Orbis School defeated Chaitanya English Medium School 6-0 to advance further in the Under-14 category of the Zilla Parishad Football Tournament being played at PDFA football ground in Dobarwadi on Wednesday.

Sahil Jadhav from The Orbis School scored two goals in the 1st and 28th minutes. Ansh Rawat added two more goals to the tally in the 8th and 12th minutes. Meanwhile Daivik Nima and Pushkar Joshi scored one goal each in the 18th and 22nd minutes as The Orbis School walked away with the win.

In another match, St Patrick’s High School defeated Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Paranjape School 2-0. Sammy Nidgudi from St Patrick’s scored the first goal in the 19th  minute while Joel Sunny scored the second goal in the 24th minute.

In another fixture, Vidya Niketan English Medium School defeated Bharati Vidyepeeth English Medium School, Balewadi with the score of 1-0. Soham Shingate scored the lone goal for Vidya Niketan in the 5th minute.

It turned out to be a good outing for Army Public School, Race Course as they defeated Don Bosco High School, Yerwada 2-0. Arjit Sharma scored two goals in the 1st and 22nd minutes for Army Public School. Meanwhile an hattrick from Prathamesh Kachare helped SSPMS Boarding beat St Arnolds 3-0. Kachare struck in the 5th, 7th and 28th minutes.
