Plot to kill Hindu leaders: 1 more held

Coimbatore: The city police on Wednesday arrested one more person in connection with hatching a conspiracy to kill Hindu outfit leaders. The arrested was identified as S Faizal, 26, an auto driver from GM Nagar near Ukkadam in the city.
On Saturday night, Variety Hall Road police had arrested as many as five people - R Ashik, 25, of Poomarket, S Ismail, 25, of Tindivanam, S Salavudheen, 25, of Otteri, I Ali, 29, of Vyasarpadi and S Shamsudheen, 20, of Pallavaram - for planning to kill Hindu Makkal Katchi leader Arjun Sampath and Sakthi Sena leader Anbu Mari.

Faizal was booked under Sections 143, 120 B of the IPC and 15,16, 20 and 38 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, said the police. He was produced before the principal district and sessions judge R Sakthivel, who remanded him in judicial custody.
